I’m a temporarily-retired librarian, living in house by the seaside in Wales with my husband, my two little boys and a roomful of wool. This blog is may contain reading, knitting, baking, spinning, tea-drinking, language-learning, picture-taking and general rambling. It may not be xkcd, but I do my best with the tooltips.
My “proper” camera is a Canon EOS 60D: I use either an EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens or an EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM. This may sound very impressive, but I really am a total amateur, so please be gentle with me. If it’s any consolation, I have just bought a photography book which purports to explain the concept of exposure even to the likes of me, and I promise I’ll even read the manual soon. Honest. I also use a Sony Cybershot DSC-W310 compact camera or an iPhone 5C.
You can find out how all this blogging business started (again) here.

At least you have a camera. I still am using my phone and it’s not that great at picture taking.
